Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Not only will your loved ones be able to enjoy a cozy cup of hot chocolate, but they will also appreciate the thought and effort you put into crafting this homemade treat.
Ingredients
½ cup (53 g) chocolate powder
½ cup (112g) white granulated sugar
½ cup (72g) dark chocolate compound , chopped
8 pieces (50g) Peppermint candies , crushed with coconut oil (4-5 drops)
¼ cup marshmallows

Directions
- For this gift recipe, you’ll need 500 mL Mason Jar. This whole content of jar makes 20 servings.
- For better view and understanding, please watch our video at the bottom.
- For perfect layering, start by lowering your spoon as close to the jar bottom when adding ingredients. Use a silicone pastry brush to clean the residues from sides of the glass if any. You can use a tart presser, pastry brush or even the back of a spoon to even out the layers before continuing adding the next layer.
- Starting by chopping some dark chocolate compounds into tiny pieces, the smaller they are, the easier they dissolve.
- Next, crush peppermint candies with 4-5 drops of coconut oil. This will prevent candy pieces from forming large clumps.
- Use this order to add the ingredients into the mason jar: Chocolate powder > Granulated sugar > dark compound chocolate > Peppermint candy > Marshmallow.
- Seal the jar with a lid, and decorate with ribbons, strings, dry leaves.
- Add a tag with a recipe instructions as below:
- Stir and mix the whole content together
- For a single serving;
- Take 1 tbsp of the premixed drink and add to (3 tbsp) 50 mL hot water. Stir to dissolve the chopped chocolate and peppermint candy.
- Add 200 mL hot milk and top it with whipped cream and marshmallows.
Storage
1. The jar has to be airtight and kept in dark and cool place.
2. Can be stored up to 3 weeks.
